Professional Talk on Entrepreneurship for Engineers with Dr Abel Nyamapfene, UCL

Are you studying in an engineering-related discipline? And you are interested in entrepreneurship? Then this talk is right for you!

Dr Abel Nyamapfene from University College London will be speaking about his personal experiences with start-ups, particularly with engineering background. Feel free to join us for this professional talk next week!

Time & Date:
Wednesday, 23rd of November 2016 (13:00pm – 14:00pm)
King’s College London, Strand Campus, Room S2.29

Abstract:
A growing number of engineering students and young professionals are interested in getting involved in start-ups. This begs the question of how well their engineering education has prepared them for entrepreneurship, and what can be done to address any perceived gaps in the conventional engineering curriculum.

In this talk I draw on my experience at UCL, and from the literature, to suggest various approaches that engineering educators, students, practicing engineers and employers, can adopt to embed innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship in education.
