A growing number of engineering students and young professionals are interested in getting involved in start-ups. This begs the question of how well their engineering education has prepared them for entrepreneurship, and what can be done to address any perceived gaps in the conventional engineering curriculum.
In this talk I draw on my experience at UCL, and from the literature, to suggest various approaches that engineering educators, students, practicing engineers and employers, can adopt to embed innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship in education.
